anyone know, i have evo 8 with stock turbo but i change 280 cam,cam gear,8:3 piston n manley rod,880cc precision injectors, fuel regulator n 255 fuel pump, aem boost controller n wideband,no cat converter, brian valve n spring.....the question is, with all that modification...how much boost can i set it at on stock evo8 turbo? so it be safe... and i see that i set the boost at 75% but boost spike up to 29 lb of boost all the time....is it normal

Piston/rod the 2.0

c16 race fuel, and turn it up to 30+ psi.

Not much to it.

You should be asking, those of you with the 2.3 or 2.4, would you go back to a 2.0 ? Unless it's a dedicated straight line dragcar...
The answer is NO

So 2.3/2.4 IS the way to go for a car which is not a drag car ?

I didn't read this entire thread but did notice right away in the first dynograph that it's nearly a straight line due to the lack of tq. we usually see 425tq with 500awhp on a 35R/6262 turbo but maybe the tuner there ran into some knock with yours in that area.
