on your car you'll gain a crap ton from a s2 to a s3.. 50whp+ . same with kelford vs s3.

mikey gained 100whp from hks to s3 lol.

I am going from Comp 280's to the S3's. Car goes back on the dyno at the end of April to see what kind of gains/shift in the powerband we get.

what are the cons for using such an agressive camshaft compared to hks 272.
my car has the hks 272 and its a built block with a stand alone and a pte5857 turbo.
how much are for the cams and install.

Idle quality drops a bit, and the powerband will be shifted to the right. You sacrifice a bit of spool for more breathing out the top. S2's are all you should ever need running a 5857.

I recommend big cams on big motors. We are working on the R series for 2.0Ls (my camshaft style for reference) and big motors as well.

I will purchasing mivec S2cams very soon. Those R series for 2.0 are also available for evo 9 and if yes when?

Thanks!

Aaron,

I'm looking for the S2R cams (or equivalent) to finish off my 2.4L build. I currently have S2s. Is there any ETA for production on those cams?

You can PM me if you'd like.

Thanks!

R series stuff looks like 4 months out, could be sooner so I will talk to Greg and try to get that a little more hammered out.

I should have some S2 to S3 comparisons, but other than being identical builds I am not sure if I have any that were the same car. It would be LR2.4s, fuel, stock intakes, etc. I would put that to the panel before I bother to upload them.

.

Do you have a price already? Will you be taking names since I'm sure it will be a limited batch and demand might be higher.

Thanks

Aaron- What do you charge for a cam swap along with springs/retainers?
I have the HKS272's in my VIII. Want something more aggressive, probably S2's or Jun's
