t4 twinscroll

We've had great success with the t4 twinscroll application on different set-ups. The key is to match the turbine housing to your needs.

hmm.. what would be the difference from a t3 twin scroll and t4? shouldn't the t3 twin scroll spool faster with the smaller .78?? i hope it can sustain the same amount of power like the t4s since this is what i will be running(fp hta3582r twin scroll w/ polished comp)

A T3 .78 on a 35r is possibly the worst turbine housing to use imo. It's much smaller then a T3 .63 non twin scroll housing.

Stay with T4. Don't be afraid of the "bigger number" it will only benafit your setup in twin scroll. Unless your looking for maximum spoolup but your gonna be completely dead up top and generating a lot of heat.

You are "choking your chicken" ,,,, lol

We picked up 6mph with a back-half switch-over. It picked up 55hp on pump and 70hp on race gas.

At 35 psi we broke the rear axle on the second pass with the "Do Work" Evo. She should be good for 150+ traps on kill mode. This car has the first "generation" long-tube ETS twin-scroll kit.

I thought I was aloud to. I have been from T3 .78, T3 1.06, T4 1.00, T4 1.06, T4 1.15 on 30R, 35R. HTA86, and 6466.

So you think going on stock block ,using fullrace t4 ts kit, with a 0.84a/r t4 twinscroll housing 6262 turbo is not a good choice?
Will be better for spool and power use a hta 86 in 1.06 t4 ts ? any ad/disadvantages to use hta 86 1.06 a/r instead of 6262 0.84 t4 ts on same car ?
Thanks.

I believe the .84 housing is just to small. You ell Spool up fast yes but your topend will suffer greatly. Both the 6262 and HTA have a 62mm turbine. Your going to choke the crap out of it. And if you plan to push it to its limits then your asking for even more problems. I ran every turbo I listed on a stock engine except the HTA86 and the 6466. My engine spit a rod just driving down the highway at 55 mph. I was just driving like a normal person to so I can't say its bad for a stock engine setup. But why would it be?

My 6466 with 1.15 and STM 650 cams spools up actually the same as my HTA 1.06 with smaller BR BF-272 cams. The 6466 is making 140 more hp the the HTA did.

nd no one and I mean no one should ever use the ATP T4 1.06. Been there on 3 of them. There junk. Use a garrett 1.00 or any PTE housing.

Finally you think that a ht86 1.00 t4 ts with 93 oct can be good choice on evo 9 stock block? will spool faster then 6262 0.82 a/r vband monoscroll?

I have no experience with a 6262. So your best best is to look for someone who does. Ask them what turbo spools up quicker in the same turbine housing sizes. I think from quick reading the HTA spools slower but does make more power up top when both turbos are pushed hard.

Yes I think either turbo on 93 Oct is fine for the stock block. But with using them turbos don't expect a stock block to last forever.

I've seen you post a couple of times about not liking this ATP housing. Did you have one of the newer revision housings, or were all 3 the older version?

Thanks,
John-
