39psi @ 3900 rpms FP 71HTA
So we just started tuning my Evo last night after a long day of wrapping things up with the car.
First pull we only got to about 4000rpms
NOTE: this is first pull before any adjustments as you will notice how rich it is.
I had just started to step on it from 2500rpms in 3rd and then POP! upon hitting 39psi my coupler going from the intercooler to the lower piece of the UICP literally popped.... like ripped in half. i have t bolt clamps and nothing popped off. it just shredded my coupler. :eek3:
anyway we were shooting for a target boost around 30psi and I had turned the knob down a little from where i had it on the stock turbo 33psi e85 tune.
I didnt take into account that i now have a Forge wastegate actuator that i cranked the preload way down on... hence the huge boost spike..
Im glad though that we obviously werent able to continue that pull at that boost level. I dont need anymore blown turbos....
More to come once we wrap thins up in the next day or two.
By the way to anyone not running Speed Density (SD) SWAP NOW, i drove 40 miles home with a section of my intercooler piping completely off the car.... the car drives like a normal NA 90hp honda or something like that. If i was still on a MAF setup id be waiting for a tow truck still....

Mods:
Drop in Built 2.0 10.5:1 CR
GSC S2's with MAP springs
FIC1450's
Double pumper
full bolt ons
mild port work to intake/exhaust manifold
Running e85 For the summer were going to keep it at around 30psi.
That insane boost spike was not planned. I did not turn down the boost controller enough after putting the new turbo with its Forge Wastegate actuator on there and i cranked the preload way down on it.
Im just astonished by how fast it spooled, this flows 51lbs per min very similar to a BBK Full. but 39psi by 3900rpms is nuts on a 2.0

Got the majority of the tune done this evening its still hot out here in AZ even at night. But sitting at a 30-31psi spike VD was showing 446whp 426wtq.
The timing wasn't very aggressive.
The torque is hitting way later than it was last night, Im going to see if i can get any more pre load out of that actuator and we will adjust some of the fueling in the spooling up region to try and move the curve left

Ill have to get the logs from my tuner, i know that last night it was hitting 30psi at 3600rpms.
Im baffled though that last night the boost and torque were coming on so quick and its a bit lazier tonight. like i said above we were seeing about a 500-600rpm difference in where 400wtq was hitting. We are going to work on that area next time.

the car is spooling very late now the difference from seeing 30psi @3600 the first night to 30psi at 4200rpms the next night during the final tuning.
So I'm suspecting an issue with either the MBC or possibly the forge wastegate actuator.
I'm going to do some trouble shooting to try and resolve this issue and bring fast spool back.
Any thoughts or feedback appreciated

My guess is MBC or the Forge WGA
