2.3L HTA86 Ev0 9 Tuned by Rallinspired on MD
ANOTHER EDIT! DYNO SHEET POSTED ON PAGE THREE THANKS TO RICK!
EDIT/UPDATE: So, Rick and I enterd the car into the dyno competition that was held by Road Race Engineering (RRE) at the MOD event at Cypress, CA. I went down to RRE the night before and Rick worked on the tune for more power...well, we found it. Long story short, he tuned the car for 45psi and we made 810whp and 699tq on the RRE dyno. I don't have a picture of the numbers handy, but whoever was at MOD this weekend and saw the car run knows which one it was (the one with the baby seat in the back).
The power band is great and hold above 800whp all the way to my 8000rpm redline. It peaks at 45psi and holds 42 at redline.
We managed to take 3rd place for the event!!! Thanks Rick, the whole crew at RRE, AWD automotive (in Temecula CA), Osbourne, my close friends, and my family for the help and support!!! Just wanted to share my awesome day and what a TRUELY daily driven family car/grocery getter/toy can do!!!
It was so unexpected at MOD that people were saying that it won't put out more than 450whp hahaha.
I've been through a lot with this car since I bought it back in 2010. Like, I haven't actually driven my car for more than 4 months total since i bought it haha.
My friend who owns his own shop out here in Temecula CA really came through and helped me get the set up together and get the car running this week and we were able to contact Rick @ Rallinspired to come up and tune the car really quick.
We ended up laggin behind and Rick had to wait for a good 4 to 5 hrs to start tuning on the car :/ (IM SORRY RICK!!) He put a base map on the car so I can drive it around and then went out of his way AGAIN to set up some dyno time on a short notice at GKM Garage so we can get a session going.
before I get onto the numbers I want to say that Rick stayed VERY professional the entire time and the crew at GKM were very helpful and professional as well.
OK! so, here is my set up:
2.3l (stock crank, turbo tuff rods, wiseco pistons)
MAP Rev 2 ported intake manifold
Mil Spec ported throttle body
GSC S2's
FIC 2150's
T4 Twin Scroll HTA 86 with 1.06 A/R
Speed Density/Stock ECU
mods to support fuel
The car is tuned on E85. Word on the street is that GKM's Mustang Dyno reads lower than some other MD's.
Here are the final numbers for the night at 38PSI. OH! I forgot to mention that the motor only had 200mi when we started tuning. 638whp/573tq
I'll have more pictures on videos added to this page once I get them from a buddy of mine!
Finally got on it yesterday and holy **** man...I cant wait to get used to this power and go for more!
Honestly, the picture below doesn't do any justice to how it spools and runs on the street! i mean, 3rd gear pulls like a bat out of hell and 4th hits even harder!
