Mellon Racing * Gary's Evolution VII * Tuning results on the 6766 pump / C16
After getting the car dialed in last year on the FP3582 stock Maf - Stock ecu making 600 on pump gas and 736 on Race gas and going 10.5 Seconds at an abandoned air field with Drag Radials we decided it was time to move to the next set-up.
We came across an issue we had never seen before , wich you can read here:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...on-racing.html
We beleive the noise affected Maf and made us find a solution with the help of Tephra and Merlin, the solution will help other members as we had never seen anything like this.
We sat down and had a nice Chat on what the next plan for the car was , so Chris and I decided that since we are worldwide known for Stock Ecu Stock Maf Tuning , and over the years we have Tuned many AEM standalone evos, it was time to step the game up and take this evo to the next level with AEM V2 .
Taking the evo to AEM V2 and being fully Tuned by us is what i want to share with the community as we dont only Tune Stock ECU .
Besides thanking Chris at Mellon Racing, I'd like to give a Big Thanks to David Buschur, Nick, Curt Brown, Merlin.OZ , DI & Tephra for all the help with my car.
This is how the car sits at this moment:
Buschur Racing 2.0 stage 3 Motor
Buschur Racing Stage 3 Head
Buschur Racing 272 Camshafts
Buschur Racing Tubular Turbo Kit with 6766 Turbo
Buschur Racing Intake
Buschur Racing Ported TB 65mm
Buschur Racing LightWeight Battery
Buschur Race Intercooler
Buschur Racing Intercooler Pipes
Buschur Racing Full Exhaust
Buschur Racing Fuel Rail
Buschur Racing Double Pumper
Buschur Racing BushWacker Tranny
Buschur Racing LightWeight Parts
Buschur Racing Oil Catch Can
DI Intake Manifold
FIC 21500cc Inj.
Exedy Triple Disc Clutch
Sparktech CDI
We just got done with the 24-25psi Tune on the car , one of the first things we noticed is that the car shows a lower boost amount on the AEM boost digital gauge vs what the AEM V2 says on the software, so we see like 24 psi on gauge and like 29 on software , lets keep in mind this has always been the same gauge on the car so I trust my gauge. The car is at low timming and at low Boost and so far im impressed with the power and the way the Turbo sounds , im also shooting videos of the pulls so pretty soon they will be available at our youtube account and facebook.
24 PSI LOW BOOST LOW TIMMING
30 PSI LOW TIMMING
We just got done with 30psi Tune , there is room for timming still as its low at this moment .
The car pulls like a Train and just feels so damn fast , at this moment im going to film and upload a video of the car . The 6766 sounds amazing at this Boost Level and the car goes thru the gears extremely fast
30 PSI ON PUMP GAS !!!!!!!
30 PSI FINAL TUNE ON PUMP GAS !!!!!!!
We are about done now with the Pump Gas Tune just putting more polish on the afr at this point.
