714hp Stock Block Evo VIII - FP 3794R
Wanted to share the recent results with my Evo. It has 90k original miles on the motor, only modifications to the engine are valve spring/retainers and Buschur 272 Cams. Current turbo setup is an ETS equal length manifold kit with a T3 FP 3794R. Car made 653 a couple of weeks ago but the power curve could have been better. With the advice of my tuner, I returned with stiffer springs in the wastegate and it picked up a lot of power in the midrange at the same psi level. First pull at 31psi netted 675hp, being so close to 700hp we decided just to go for it.
On the stock ecu/maf and the 3794 a few months ago the car went 10.7 @ 138mph when it was making 610hp. We know that dyno numbers is just a number and track results really matter, but with this Evo being a full weight GSR with A/C it will be hard to. Props to STM for holding that record down!
After breaking 700hp the tuner did drop the power back down to the lower 600hp range.

dyno sheet? I'd like to see that on the 2.0 with those cams and you didn't mention what intake manifold?
Also, what spring did you swap out to go with what new one in the wastegate?

I can't remember seeing any BF 272 stock block cars. Must be close on the piston to valve clearance?
should be fine.
nice pull on a stock block.i bet those rods didn't enjoy it as much as you guys did.
