this one puzzled us, we figured it would do 300+awhp but it just wouldn't. Later I found that the intake pipe had a huge metal plate welded in for some reason. I guess it was a way for the manufacturer to get the car to idle better with their pipe. Clearly it's hurting the power.

Next time around I think we'll be installing a better bov, intake pipe and possibly cams to take it to the next level.

yeah apparently it's how K&N gets a stock evo with their pipe to idle smoothly. It's a pretty horrible design

I just picked up a k&n typhoon as a spare intake and it doesn't have a plate welded in it. Hmm..
