Jon's 493whp E85 EF3 2.0L

Jon, like many of our customers, has been coming to us for awhile. Initially it was a G35 that he was modding but after seeing how one of his Unit member's Evo had progressed he jumped platforms.

A pretty common sense straightforward build ensued and with the addition of E85 made the car into a fun stock block street car.

Mods-

ER SD and 4" intake
GSC S2 with GSC springs and retainers
FIC 1450
ETS 3.5" IC
Grimmspeed 3 Port
Kiggly HLA
Muse LICP
Megan short route UICP
BR Double Pumper
EPM O2 Dump
MAP EF3
Ebay 3"exhaust
Megan 3" downpipe
PPI extreme ported & coated EM

After dialing in the new 1450s and double pumper (replaced a single 255 and FIC1050s) we upped the boost and got some nice gains with significantly lower IDCs.

Red is with the new injectors and boost up, Green is the 1050s/single pump.

what about red vs ef3? seems that ef3 can put out higher #'s

Do you think a stock block evo x with 93 pump can make 415 or similar on dynojet with this turbo?

thanks
Great work john.

I have a stock block/stock cam IX with a dump on E85 that made 520whp, so I am not sure I'd say the EF3 makes more. I haven't tuned that many of them though so I am not discounting what you're saying. Sometimes its just the difference in head castings, the IX may have been exceptional and this VIII maybe not so much.

On the X, I havent dyno'd any of them so I cant say. An FP red would be able to do that with all the right mods though on pumpgas.

Thanks for another amazing tune! The car drives so smooth now. No hiccups and I just did a three gear pull and the car has never felt faster or smoother!

Not gonna lie, I expected a little more out of the EF3. Seems a Red would keep up in spool and rape it in the mid range and top end without breaking a sweat. Does this car have more in it Aaron?

With a built motor and Magnus no doubt.

Probably not. I might do a ported TB and IM later down the road. I really want to do an ER 2.4LR but I'm changing jobs soon and want to get a house. Stupid priorities TBH the car is a blast on the street already, I think I would lose that fun factor/reliability if I gain much more.

Very very nice powerband there
Especially for a 500whp car that don't die up top(At least up to 7500rpm or so anyway)

Great power with a nice flat and safe (stock motor) torque curve, looks like a killer setup to me.
