Daniel's 855whp SLR2.2 FP3794
A few months ago, Daniel took delivery of his then 821whp Evo 8 to add some fun and excitement to his otherwise dull of life of working in EOD. For those that dont know thats Explosive Ordinance Disposal for the Army. That thread is here-

There were a few things that needed finished that we didnt get to in the initial build like the boost control system and finishing the fuel system. All in all though it did make good power but as the boost dropped out the top power started slacking off fairly quickly.
We revisited the car this week and added a few things that werent there before-
A second 3 port to retain the tru boost for quick changes and the 3 port to hold boost out the top, and a full AN full system and rail fed by some bigger pumps. This was on top of the previous mods-
ER SLR 2.2 10:1 compression
ER Jeff Bush Ported Evo VIII cylinder head w/ 1mm over valves
Wiseco 1400HD 10:1 pistons
R&R 153mm I beam connecting rods
K1 94mm crankshaft
Forced Performance HTA394 with twin scroll 1.15 V-Band
FIC2150s
GSC S3 camshaft set
GSC +1mm Valves
Kiggly Beehive valvesprings
Magnus V5 intake manifold
ETS Forward facing turbo kit with twin 38mm MVS wastegates
ETS 4" race intercooler w/ 2.5" piping
Buschur Racing double pumper
3" Ebay exhaust re-engineered with a Vibrant Muffler and 3" dump
Boomba 75mm TB
AEM Series 1 EMS tuned by Lucas English
E90ish
I just got it off the dyno after some quick pulls and got it to make this before the ignition gave up the ghost-
To be fair most Non-CDi's have a harder time at this level, but that one misfire made me abort a little earlier than the previous 9k+ rev limit. Boost was 41 peak and only 40 at 8200 where I let off. Looks like the 1.15 wasnt the restriction I thought it was.
Here are the 2 overlaid, notice the 50whp gain getting it to hold more boost out the top-
A full Sparktech CDi ignition and another 4-5psi maybe something even cooler will happen

I think a SparkTech Non-CDi would be okay at the boost level we are wanting to run, this particular one was giving up at 40psi. I dont feel it was a timing misfire as we were definitely near MBT and saw some larger voltage spikes occasionally. The spikes could have been the misfire or a smaller misfire. It did good up to 850whp though

It was 13* according to the AEM but I am not 100% sure that even when sync'd AEM timing numbers are accurate. The look of the power doesnt look like it was low timing, it was 4th gear, and I had sprayed the rollers to make sure I hadnt lost any traction. If I hadnt had the misfire I would have revved it out to 9k but also ran more boost on the next pull as I still had fuel to go.
