Pure Drive Performance Evo VIII HTA86 93 Oct 557/394
Kevin is a pleasure to work with. I say “is” because we are still tuning, but more on that later. Even though we are not done, I wanted to get this posted while I have some time.
Kevin contacted me about tuning his new setup. He was previously running a stock appearing turbo on an AEM ECU, but wanted to go back to stock ECU running a T3, SD set up on 93 Oct.
His set up is taking to tuning really well. The whole tuning process is going smoothly. I’m very happy with this set up. So much so, that I may get this turbo as I’ve tuned a few of these turbos now and I like what I’m seeing.
Tune is on hold as his fuel pump is maxxed. Waiting on a double pumper to be installed. The tune is safe, but looks like a lot of fun! Even though it’s a built motor it’s on the stock knock settings.

Wow, what great numbers. That's crazy it has more to go with more fuel. I am sure Kev os one happy customer.
I am not sure I would like waiting to 5k for full spool but you can't argue with the power.

Thanks guys, really happy with how the car is turning out. I didn't have a good experience with my last remote tune, so was glad to see Christian's posts recently and see that there were other options. He has been great throughout this whole process and I would highly recommend him.
Full boost at 5K is not bad really considering I have a redline of 9K. Have to see once I get the fuel pump done, but I bet it will still be pulling to 9K, so that's a good range of usable power IMO. The car keeps pulling up top so you just have to be in the right gear . We will never have E85 here in CT (only one privately owned station has it and it's an hour away from me) but I have thought about the newer AEM meth kit. I have to do some more research as I'm still 50/50 on it. I can't see doing a race gas map as I would never want to change it back and go broke buying drums of gas lol.
For now, the car pulls pretty good and zig zags fighting for traction in this cooler weather.
Thanks Christian!

I've been driving turbo cars for the last 20+ years. All but one car had small turbos and I loved the quick spool up. However, that one big turbo (big at the time) felt amazing!!! It kept pulling and pulling and when shifting into the next gear, there was more pulling immediately. I'm seriously considering this turbo for my DD.
Thanks Christian!
