Mike's 738 AWHP / 560 AWTQ Evo 8 - Mustang Dyno - Boostin Performance

Mike brought us his beautiful Evo 8 with two main goals in mind - 700+ AWHP on a Mustang Dyno and a low 9 second daily driven, emission compatible Evo. While equipped with a Boostin Performance Long Block, Ported Intake Manifold, Intercooler Piping, and a list of other "go-fast goodies," we were able to reach Mike's goal! The 9 second time slip will be obtained once Spring hits the area and the tracks are open again.

I have the same setup with similar results. Good job on this build. This thing is going to be a rocket.

Could you share the exhaust manifold setup?

aside from long rod setup on op car, what do you have different to make additional 50whp? im curious.

is the OP running s3 or STM650 by chance? If not i wonder if he could pick up some gains there. Also is the intake mani just a basic port or is this a full CB/MAP rev3 port?

Hard to tell, the midrange on the OP car is awesome compared the the graph posted below it, yet the top-end falls off a bit more. Could be cam timing, gear used on the dyno, cams, timing fuel......it goes on

Is that comp twin going to hold up to all that power? Also interested to know what cams are being used?

Or that the car cant breathe up top due to the stock intake manifold. Great numbers guys I know how anxious Mike was to finish the car I bet he's counting down the days till spring

I have a CNC head and 10:5.1 compression. My mid range is being killed by my 2.5" intercooler pipe and 3.5" intercooler. I'm sure when I step up it will help out the mid range a lot. Also with out trap speeds from this car its hard to say if I really have 50hp over this car. Boostins dyno reads pretty low. My car @ 3250lbs has trapped 145mpg but I lost my accessory drive belt in 3rd gear loosing tons of power and almost coasting thru the finish line. I now have a gates belt that bypasses the AC, hoping the belt doesn't jump off again. I think my car maybe good for low to mid 150s.

Mike's car is running a set of Tomei 280 Camshafts, The Comp Twin will be enough for what Mike's looking to do.
