Evo IX Built 2.3L FP Black GSC S2 93oct

Finished up Ron's Evo IX on 93oct. We will be adding E85 after a bigger fuel pump system is installed in the car.

Mods are:

2.3L 9:1 wiseco hd / manley turbo tuff
Buschur stage 3 head
GSC S2 cams
ETS 3.5" fmic kit w/ v2 lower
FIC 1100cc Hi-Z injectors
Walbro 255hp modded
Spoolinup COP
Exedy Twin HD
DBB FP Black ported (Twinscroll Mitsu hotside)
TSComptuned 4" SD intake pipe
Grimmspeed 3 port solenoid
BR ported/coated manifold
Megan Racing O2 housing
Helix v2 downpipe
Invidia N1 3" exhaust w/testpipe
Tephra v7 Speed density w/ ecuboost

injector duty cycle in the red line peaked at 92%.
The blue line where we left off peaked at 86%

Hell yeah, super fun on the street.

Tom literally spent like 4 hours with me getting this 100% perfect. highly recommended

Injector duty cycle at 92% and the afr is about 10.6-11.3. Does it give more power with lower duty cycle and leaner afr, like 11.5-12.5 afr?

You're asking for trouble running much leaner than 11.5 on gas..

Yes. If you have a decent mid range size set of cams like s2 for example, and a 2.3 you can make spool on a fp black over 30psi by 3800RPM in 3rd gear with stock gearing and stock final drive. My old setup used to get 33psi by 3800RPM in 3rd with a 2.3 and fp black with kelford 272.

We didnt keep it at that boost level, so it dropped down after I lowered the boost.

This particular car / wideband was not losing power going down to even 10.5 afr. Some cars do, some cars don't. The wideband can only be trusted so much. As they get older they read leaner, etc.

We kept the car around 11 afr for the final result.

It depends on the life of the wideband and the wear and tear on the sensor. I agree, I prefer not to take gasoline over 11.5 though.
