Tony has been a long time customer since he moved back from Hawaii to the Mainland. His 05 Evo gets used hard but is properly maintained. At one point it was on an FP Black until a journal bearing failure lead him back to a stock IX turbo.
During our 2015 Open House, Tony won a free retune in our raffle so we put the car and decided to see where it was after nearly 6 years of us tuning it on the stock motor with denatured alcohol in lieu of meth.

Results -
Pulled the fuse out of the pump and then went doublechecking the 92 octane tune. This car runs high boost per the customer and the results speak for themselves-
The first car I have tuned on 92 that made 400 plus repeatedly on the stock intake manifold with no porting. I was very pleased as was Tony.

Aaron do you prefer using the denatured alcohol instead of meth and are there any differences between the two ? I also use denatured alcohol just at the ease of just picking it up at Home Depot and I don't know if its true , but heard that meth is much more corrosive then the alcohol. Any truth to this? Thanks
Meth is more corrosive on rubber and aluminum. Tony has been on the same pump the whole time I know him where I have people losing meth pumps (on meth) every couple years. Denatured alcohol is mostly ethanol so its not as much octane but it still works better than nothing and definitely better than water.
