I do see the 12" fan on your site. You also have a 9" listed there, do you think that would be too small?

I would guess they are not that accurate. I mean you are talking about weighing vehicles that are several tons and where 50 lbs really means nothing.
I have gone to the scales at truck check points before and have found that they can be within maybe 30-50 lbs or so.
The scales at the race track are much closer, and finally corner balance scales are what I base these comparisons on as I assume corner scales are spot on.

In this thread there is a link to a 4.5 lb battery:

If you have the money this could shed 10 or more lbs from the other lightweight batter setups.

yea i saw that battery a couple weeks back. I spoke with the company to try and get a discount, they gave me a better price, but its still way to expensive. I was thinking of going with the lightest of the decka batteries but I don't think it will start the car in cold weather.
My current battery is 12lbs, I want to find a lighter one but $100 is about my limit.

DB/Dudical/Fred- I know the stock fan and shroud weigh a lot. My question pertains more to the fan controller - Do you eliminate it when you swap to a lighter fan? What is the purpose of this controller and can it be eliminated....I would much rather do that if I could. Its such an awkward piece...Thanks!

I have heard that everyone keeps the stock fan control unit. I have read into what the fan controller actually is and apparently someone dissected it and found out that it is basically just a couple relays. They said that it had a two speeds for the stock fan. I don't remember if the person actually replaced the unit but they said it could be replaced with a simple relay.
The fan controller is kinda bulky and might weigh a couple lbs, although I've never weighed it.

Second post has a wiring diagram of the controller. Basically it can be replaced with a simple relay, much smaller and lighter. I broke my scale, any one wanna get a weight on the fan controller?

Thanks, guys. I wish I knew more about electrical stuff to wire up a relay. I am pulling AC on the car, I think. Keeping heat, though for defrost use.
I am considering using 2 pusher fans instead of 1 puller and thus eliminating the fan on the inside which should provide ample room, I think.

Why do you want to eliminate the inside fan?
I pulled my AC and the pusher fan. I am going to be replacing the stock puller with a slim line puller.
I don't think you need two pushers.

for turbokit clearance - I am planning on going fluidyne - thicker (CBRD seems nicer, but worried about road race use) and just having 2 fans on the outside to allow for more clearance with a turbo kit!
