thats been out in Japan for years now, I had a chance to get a Carozeria (pioneer) deck from Japan about a year ago, then I relized none of the cool stuff would work so...

 

You know, as "advanced" as the US is, we always get the coolest stuff last. Electronics, Cells, cars, you name it - when we get it, it's already been out in Asia and Europe forever. The Evo is a perfect case in point. We do make all the cool movies, though

Oh yeah, that unit kicks ***.

 

You can get 3D mapping units in the US and Europe, but the real "wow" about this unit is the screen, which looks different depending on which angle you view it from. The driver sees the map, the passenger sees the movie!

 

That is who makes the eclipse brand in the us. This unit will not work in the us as the view is switched. The driver would see the movie and the passenger would see the map. I hope to see a us version soon. My Clarion is getting old and needs to be moved to the wifes car.

The 3d mapping is really cool though I must admit, but it's standard on most navigation systems.

Also whoever said this unit has been out for years... I'm not sure if it's that old, but it's not even their newest unit! I like the style of the Eclipse screens in Japan more too... because you get the full 7 inch viewing area and the little control thing on the bottom can fold upwards when you turn the car off...

Stupid Eclipse America and their half-assed Navi...
