Viper 791xv question
Hello,
I put a Viper 791XV alarm in my car. I did not hook up any of the remote start stuff. I didn't even put in the remote relay pack. The question I have is, after something is faulted, say the door opens when the alarm is armed. After i disarm it, the light keeps on blinking, and it keeps letting me know the door was opened. How do you reset the alarm after a fault? The book makes it sound like it resets after you turn on the ignition. The problem is, on the main harness I don't see any ignition wires. Does this make any sense?

Ok i have that taken care of. My next question is, on the shock sensor that it comes with, it does not chirp when it is bumped. it is the dual stage, so there is supposed to be the warning chirp, then the full alarm. the full alarm works, but no warning chirps. Does the green wire need to be connected for that?

You probably plugged the harnes for the shock sensor in the wrong way. The end with the green wire connected to the plug should be connected to the brain. That means the open end of the green wire should be towards the shock sensor. The end plugged into the shock sensor should have the wire looped to the blue one I think. You don't need to connect the open end of the green wire to anything.

Sorry if my last post was a little unclear. The plug with the green wire looped to the blue Should be connected to the shock sonsor. If it is already done that way then you have anothet problem.
