MFI relay and other problems.

After the ice storm we had the past week my car has been all messed up. First the car would not start. I'd take the keys out and all the dash light would be on like the keys were in the "on" position. Then if it did start. the car would stay running once i took the keys out. to shut the car off w/ the keys out, i'd have to put it into reverse gear and it would shut off. Now, when you put the key to the on position, the pump in the rear for the washer fluid slowly comes on and then goes crazy all by itself. The MFI relay is bounceing off the walls clicking back and fourth and something else, underneath the intake manifold in clicking off the walls too. Also, there was some water underneath the kick panel near my left foot and the wiring harness right there was smoking.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

just narrowed it down and Connector C-124 has water in it.. im gonna dry it out and hope that works. Seems that C-124 is also related to the MFI and EGR solenoid.

ight heres what happend. water ran down the wires from the relay box under the hood. inside the electrical tape all the way to connector C-124. it must have been happening for a while since they are cororroded and green. do you think mistubishi sells that since part of the harness.

I just seen the same problem on my friends car. The car was staying on even with the key removed, power and engine. Now it doesn't start.

We checked those same connector and sure enough a ton of corrosion. Thanks for posting the pics they helped ALOT.
