Question for you relay gurus..
Is it possible for someone to make a relay or wire up something that will lock the doors when the p-brake is released and unlock the doors when it's engaged? I'm really used to auto door locks and if my wife drives the car I'd feel better if the doors auto locked/unlocked for safety.
Thanks in advance!

I would check with the dealer to see if there is an ECU option they can change to do that. There are various things that can be changed with the help of the Mitsu Scan tool (or by jumping wires and pressing switches on the dash).
I was browsing through the service manual for the Evo VIII and came across a bunch of options like how long the headlights should stay on after turning off the engine and enabling speed-sensitive wipers. Your favorite dealer should be able to check their service manual for a list of such options and how to change them
Just something to check.

Either an alarm, as Warmpepsi has stated, or a keyless entry system. A cheap Directed Electronics keyless entry would enable Ignition controlled door locks.
Ign on, door closed - it locks. Ign on, door open - naada.
Ign off, door open or closed - unlocks.
And its something you can install in under an hour (assuming you have the right tools).
You can do it with 2 relays, but they would be pulse timer relays (which is about 5~10 times as much as a standard SPDT).
If you need help wiring either, let me know.
