I've been doing alot of reading comparing the JVC KDBT1 and the Pioneer DEH6900UB. They both are very similar with the options they offer, ie; USB connection, Bluetooth connection, 3 rca outputs, 4 volt power, etc. I think I have decided to get the Pioneer unit because it offers just a few more options.

I just installed the Pioneer 6900UB and it looks and sounds great. I am having a little trouble with snapping the trim ring on though. I am also curious about connecting my cell phone with the bluetooth operations of this headunit. What is the least expensive adapter that I would need in order for this to work?

I got that one with the wiring harness from Crutchfield because it was cheap, had MP3 playback capability, and it had a front USB jack. Load up your USB thumb drive with MP3's and never have to worry about burning CD's again. Plus, the lighting on it color-match the interior of the car.

It's not a high end unit by any means. However, it gets the job done and sounds great with the stock speakers. It also doesn't have any blue ghetto LED's to make it look like Wal-Mart trash.

You can get it for $30 cheaper at Newegg:

Just be sure to get a wiring harness to make it work without having to hack the factory harness.

One of the problems I see with that radio 90GSX is that the RCA output is only 2 volts. I prefer having one with 4 volts.

It's definitely not a high end unit. I wouldn't have it in my car if my goal was to have a kicking stereo system to show off to all the ladies and 11th graders in my town.

Not making fun of you, so don't get offended.

I don't get offended easily so don't sweat it. I actually looked at the Sony's before deciding on the Pioneer. I have no intention of trying to show off for the ladies or the 11th graders due to having a 10th grader of my own and being married for 16 years. I'm too old for that crap.

Does anyone know a good radio to replace it with that will match the factory RMS watts?

I have a Pioneer P2900MP headunit for sale. it has the wiring harness already attached to it. so its just a 5 min. install. Plug & Play for sure.
I had it in my car for about 4 months at the most. It works really good with stock speakers. it was a huge improvement in sound when i finally replaced the stock unit with this 1.

Send me a PM and here's a link to my FS thread.
