Question for those with head units with bluetooth.

Where did you mount the microphone? I ran the mic through the ashtray and clipped it to the lower cubby hole. My friend ran his up the pillar and clipped it onto his visor but whenever I talk to him, it sounds like crap. I was wondering where you guys are putting your microphones for the best sound. I thought of putting on top of the steering wheel column but didn't want the wire to get tied up/tangles in the column. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance. Also posted this on socalevo.net for more input.

I put mine to the right of the steering wheel behind the dash. There are slots on the dash that are blank behind, I secured the mic there. No mic is visible and it works great, at least when Im not full throttle. The tanable tbe is soo loud it gets picked up on the mic when Im WOT, haha.

I took the top of my steering column off and drilled two small holes just big enough for a small zip tie and zip tied it to the plastic cover right where it dips down. You cannot see it at all unless you are trying to look behind the steering colum and it works really well. Also if you take the cover off there is a flap that if you move aside is a straight shot right to the back of the radio.
