Alpine bluetooth kce-300bt- ECHO ECHO ECHO

I just installed the bluetooth adapter from alpine to my alpine cda-9887 deck.

I don't have the microphone mounted, but tried every logical location, and the person on the other end hears an ECHO!!!

this sucks.

Thats odd, I have installed plenty of these with no echo. Maybe phone related?

Mic was typically at the A-pillar, or in the middle of the windshield. Did you try syncing another phone up and seeing if thier was echo? Also, try calling somebody with your speakers muted and have them talk. This will verify if it is picking it up off the speakers or not.

yeah when volume is adjusted down the echo goes away.
but it requires the volume to be pretty low...
i'll test on the road today, since i've only tried it at idle.
