Polk/MOMO MMC6500 problem

I checked the rca connections, and in fact the amp grounds are on the same bolt. Hopefully the preamps aren't shot, i mean the headunit is only 3 months old and this is the first time I'm using the preamps. ill just have to do some good old trouble-shooting. Will post the mistake when I find it. Also the trunk should be completed (carpet and trim, nothing fancy) within a week or two. I'll try to get some pictures up this weekend!

You can try running a
small gauge ground wire
from your headunit ground
to your amp ground. If
that fixes it then you have
a bad ground connection
somewhere.

Well i haven't got around to check anything yet, but i noticed something. The sound only comes on when a specific electrical component turns on in my car. Maybe the radiator fan or something, but i can hear the click when it engages, and then the whine is audible from the speakers...
