Viper 791 range is good but not as good as the compustar. My buddy's compustar worked in alot of places where the my viper did not work, such as basements and large department stores. If you want good range i wold recommend compustar

Viper 7900
I just got a Viper 5900 w/ remote start fort my daughter's 2005 Scion Tc. It is very good. But........ I also got the new 7900 installed in my 2006 Evo IX w/
REMOTE start. There is a great shop in Middletown NJ that did the install for me.
Definitely Viper FTW

i love the viper systems and the new ones coming out look ever more slick however that mile range is BS. I install these things for a living and they do get great range but it seems that the smaller brands such as audiovox, and compustart are beating these viper sytems quite a bit. i would stick with the 5500 untill the new systems come out. i have this one on my car and love it. i don't feel the need for the alarm but if you do then the 5900 is the way to go.
