I will have 2 amps, the Alpine MRP-M450 and MRP-F450
the mono is 400 x 1 @ 2ohm 14.4
the 4 channel is 70 x 4 @ 4 ohm
I'll also be adding an Optima Red Top in the trunk and removing the minibattery

Over kill for a 400 watt amp ,
Yes a bigger/better/more batt(s) and upgraded Alt will help , but you will spend more $$ on Alt and batt that you have in the amp .
caps are crap
The best way to insure you have a soild 14.4v is start with 16v (16v batt and Alt pumping out 16-17 volts) but thats over kill again .
Btw I ran for years 6 SVR 12v batts , 4 MMATS D100's(around 2000w each) , 6 Stroker 15's , 160+dbs all on the STOCK S-10 100amp Alt .
Red top in the rear will work out great for you set up !

Sweet! Yeah I'm getting the higher output redtop, I believe its 1000 CA and 800 ColdCA
So that should be plenty! I contacted the ebay store that was posted in this thread for alternators and the said they don't have any for the Evo application. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens, hopefully I won't need one!

i have been installing systems in cars for over 5 years, and i can tell you instead of the red top batt. get the yellow, way better for what the amp takes away. i believe though it should be fine, 500rms is not to high, i run 2000rms in my jeep with just the yellow top battery and i have no issues what so ever my voltage drop to 13.8 at the most.
if the voltage on any car were to drop below 11.5 volts then you would probably start blowing fuses out.
also capacitors are a waste, never buy one.

I have been trying to get in contact with D. Iraqqi, but have had no luck. I contacted his ebay store and was given an abrupt "No, we don't have any for your model car" and I emailed him directly at his own email adress last friday and haven't heard back.
I did end up getting different amp...
MRP-M850 = 800 watts rms @ 2ohm x 1 @ 14.4
MRP-F450 = 70 watts rms @ 4ohm x 4 @ 14.4
I also bought the optima redtop, the only yellow tops that are better then the red tops are the ones that are $250+, I got the best redtop, 800 Cold Cranking amps and 1000 cranking amps, for $134 locally.
