Don't know if its been mentioned, but you can do the "Big 3" upgrade. Run a 4awg or 1/0awg wire straight from the alt to your battery. Upgrade the factory grounds with either the 4 or 1/0awg as well. Battery-to-chassis-to-block. I did this in my Integra when I was having problems with dimming and it fixed it.

I bought one from him last year. It's awesome. But there is something you need to know. It comes with a smaller pulley. Smaller pulley means smaller serpentine belt.
First I had AMS install it for me. When I got the car back, I noticed a rattling in the engine bay. So I took it back to AMS and they noticed that the tension pulley was bottomed out. The smaller pulley made the original belt longer and the tension pulley wasn't applying any tension on the belt, making the tension pulley shake causing the rattling sound. They just ordered a smaller belt for me and the problem went away.

i rarely see cars running above 14.2 even with the car running, although the higher your rev the voltage increases but not by much. Alpine rates their amps at 14.4v to bump up their numbers in order to sell more.

don't worry about getting 14.4v. As long as you have a sub that matches up and a decent box it will all sound good and that's all that really matters right?
What you get out of a capacitor depends on the farads... most install 1s, however there are real noticable differences at 20 and 40s.

This topic gets beat to death in every car forum i have ever been through. I have come to the conclusion that they are a giant waste of money
