I Need A Roll Bar That Still Has Useable Backseat Area
I do weekend road racing (not drags) and need a 4-point roll bar for my 2003 Evo 8 with sunroof.
My last car (WRX) I had an AutoPower Roll Bar that worked OK, but made access into the rear seating area virtually impossible. I Don't Want that.
Anybody make a roll bar for Evo 8 that still lets you be able to use the rear seats?
Thanks

It will be expensive and you will certianly have to cut sheetmetal to brace against other points of the car. Just having a main hoop won't help, to support the hoop would require the other other 2 points which is the issue.
You also need to consider that if the main hoop has a diagonal bar or harness bar, this is dangerous coz you can kill passengers with it if they arent strapped in and such.
Honestly, evaluate if you need a rollbar for what you are doing. Don't get it for bling, please. Scrotch harness can attach to bottom of rear seats and will serve you well for most auto-x and track days

^Dont run a harness without a full cage though... In the event of a rollover, you are dead. With the stock belt, you can move or be pushed out of the way to avoid serious injury. Odds are, unless you are doing very serious racing (in which case rear seat functionality wouldnt matter) keep the stock setup.

I'm doing a lot of HPDE's in the higher run group levels, plus I'm an instructor. I have a harness bar & 5 pt belts now, but as I increase power & speed on the car, the need for roll bar becomes more important. Bling? Hardly...

really, get a bolt in unit made. it is a little awkward getting it in and out but its not that bad.

again, I have the autopower - no way you can put people in there and its plain retarded to even try. His only option is custom and take it to AMS, DTM, cascade or somewhere else and have it done and pay about 1500 bux or so. That's all I can say....
