pioneer AVIC-F90BT vs. Kenwood DNX8120
I was originally leaning toward the pioneer as I have a pioneer HU now and love it...although after reading some reviews and seeing some demos on the Kenwood I am leaning towards that now...anyone have experience with either? Pros/cons, ease of use, nav, bluetooth, etc...TIA

nav, bluetooth, dvd playback and so fourth are great on the f900bt looks wise its very nice with changeable colors i have it red same as the evo dash. you have a choice of between i believe 32,000 different color options. ipod playback seems pretty easy with the ipod wheel shown on the screen. all in all i feel its a great unit. as for kenwood i have no knowledge either way good luck with your purchase

i was in your shoe before...
but i went with f90bt.
Before with all the bad reviews on the f90bt, i wasn't f that thing, but with 2.0, things better now. DNX8120 is cool, but I swear, the graphic resolution is just so bad.. therefore I got the f90bt.. go to the avic forum and reads about all the hack you can do with it ;D

I just installed my pioneer f700bt and with the hacks from avic411.com and the 2.0 update im a happy camper. once I have gotten a little more time with the HU I will post up a review.
**Just an FYI, the pioneer has the highest resolution out of the bunch clocking in at 800 x 480 (WVGA) versus the top of the Kenwood and the Alpine @ 480 x 234

just wondering what model alpine were you refering to regarding pix.ratio, you must not have been talking about alpine f1....just an FYI the TMI-M9990's low-temp poly silicone WVGA TFT display clocks in at an impressive 1.15 million pixels and also comes with an external high resolution D/A converter box,and this piece is already 5 years old.hey if i was 16 still and rollin on 50 inch spinners in my cadillac i'd probably still have an avic

final update...it is all in and working great! Installed it last week, ran the bypass externally, works like a charm, nav is great, and my iphone is crystal clear w/ blue tooth and the ipod. DVD quality of the screen is fantastic and sound is great as always from pioneer

Honestly both systems are really nice. The pioneer gives you a few more options straight out of the box, and you can never go wrong with a pioneer. HOWEVER, I LOVE the fact that Kenwood uses Garmin's GPS and mapping info, and also after checking out this new Kenwood model it has higher RCA voltage outputs so if you plan on amping interior speakers or subwoofers, you will have a lot better clarity with the kenwood.
