CompuStar Pro hood sensor defective?
Alright, so to make a long story as short as possible I will keep this brief.
I have a compustar pro series alarm with all the bells and whistles on my Evo. Since about 5am my alarm has been going off every 3 or 4 minutes with a few breaks saying that my hood is up. This isn't the first time it has happened. Infact when I get off the highway and go to shut off my car and let the turbo timer run it will usually not run because it says the hood is up/unlatched.
Obviously I'm not a complete idiot, I have checked my hood more than once. It's down, its tight. I've checked the sensor. It looks to be okay, the plug in is okay.
I'm pretty baffeled. It is snowing like crazy right now but this isn't the only time it has done this, just the worst. It will usually just set the alarm off once or twice but never as many as today.
Thanks for any advice you guys have.

you need to adjust the trip switch. if it was installed hitting the rubber strip, it will eventually get worn out and show an open hood. the gap is pretty tall that you have to adjust almost too high.
