Alpine 9887 display in daylight

I am looking into the Alpine 9887 or the Pioneer 510 head unit mounted in the stock location. For those of you running either of these, how is the display in the daylight? I have a older Alpine 9830. During the day, I cant see the display at all.

I am also looking into tinting the fronts windows and a 4 in strip at the top of the windshield. My back and rear windows are already tinted.

Thanks.

I don't know if it will help but have pioneer HU installed in stock location. Am having a hard time seeing the display specially in the afternoon time. Wanting to put it at the bottom of HVAC.

Tinting the fronts is always good in my opinion. All of my windows are at 17% tint with a 9" top-down on the front. Works and looks good.
