Hi, I did that mod a time ago but after idle issues and A/C not cooling enough I decided to create my own Orbital look alike HVAC kit. It is way better and easier because the evos HVAC is much more electrocnic (ECU behind the knobs)than the analog Galant or Montero controls.

I'll post some pics.

did u but out ur stock bezel for the hvac controls and how did u get ur double din up there that is sick!!!!

Yes I cut the original HVAC and welded it using resins and fillers to the lower radio relocation kit. If you remove the hvac you'll see the rectangular shape that you must cut in order to built it right. Just cut along it and start trimming the lower part bit by bit.
I got the upper dash parts from a taiwanese friend.
Google for global lancer taiwan.

For the upper part just buy the JDM upper bezel.

Is it safe to assume that upper piece is not double din sized? I'm trying to scheme a way to mount gauges in my dash with my doube din navi. That looks like a good option.

Yes I do have the missing the controller knob...

yo i have the dnx7100 too where did u get that trim piece around the unit to fill in the gap between the screen and the bezel??
