FWIW, I have no dimming issues. I run a highly sensitive sub at 4 Ohms with little current draw as a consequence. The sub doesn't need a lot of juice to get going, which makes for a lighter/smaller amp, as well. The sub and enclosure tip the scales at 24lbs. Since looking for extension in an Evo is pointless, I roll-off the bottom octave and a half at 24dB, which allows for an even lower current draw. Bass sounds more defined and articulated, given the random cancellations generated by the Evo, itself, when it's on the move, as well as its tendency to blend the lower octaves into a big blob of aural mush. Win-win.
