You should try to search because I just did and there's ALOT of threads on this.
Cobra Alarms makes a good one, they have remote shut off and tracking as well which to be honest are needed these days due to dirty thieves. You never mentioned a budget so any suggestion I give you will be vague.

these are always one sided topics. any installer is like a car guy. they like one brand and one brand only.
owning my own shop ive install, directed, crimestopper, compustar, audiox
they all have there ups and downs.
directed - easy to wire, the entry level ones have HORRIBLE shock sensors.
crimestopper - easy to wire, comes with very nice dual stage easy adjustable shock sensor
compustar - i find the wiring horrible, and the programing. blah
audiovox - very close to the crimestopper peices, but stay away from there entry level units
