ACD Lights and Scary Understeer
hey guys,
i drive an EVO 7, as jeremy Clarkson would say "the italian mob boss without the compassion"... but since i always wanted an evo, when i bought mine and saw the lights i thought it was a small issue.
i cleared the code and after a few metres driving all three come back on. i know guys would say its the acd pump, ok. I recently changed my centre diff, the old one had its housing damaged but the clutches were good.
The other day I was driving around a right had corner and for some reason the car understeered, at the low speed i was going at i did what wud normally correct this but nothing work, its like its was determined to run the curb.(damaged rim)
ok, i went by a friends house since then, his driveway is an incline and when i tried to turn in the car didn't want to go up and kept cutting out and i decided to give it more gas and i could have sworn that i heard one of the back tyres skidding.
went to a track day and the car was pushing around the corners, more so than any evo i've seen.
My friend with the evo 9 says I might not have to change the pump it could me lines or electrical...btw I can set what setting i want when i start the car but after all 3 lights come on does that setting stay? Can the ACD pump cause all of this?
i know it was a long essay but please help!

could be pump itself or the acd proportioning valve they fail sometimes does the pump run at all ?
Switch on ignition dont start then press throttle to the floor keep it there you should hear the pump run for a few secs .
forgot to mention check the block connections in the passengers side footwell (rhd )behind the plastic panel these had a habit of corroding and breaking off .
