Compustar Alarm problem, help needed!

I have the compustar 2-way w900 alarm installed. For the last couple of days, the remote isn't communicating with the car. For example, when I shut the car off, it turns itself off and arms the alarm after 30 secs. When I go to press the unlock/disarm button, I get nothing. I also notice that the little antenna in the left hand corner of the remote is no longer present, like it doesn't have signal back and forth? Sometimes even pressing buttons on the remote wont even make noise like when I would hit them on accident.

Any guesses? I think it is the remote, but am not totally sure? Any help or troubleshooting ideas would be appreciated.
