Evo 8 vs 9 Rear O2 Sensor connector
Is an O2 sensor connector for a 2003 Evo any different than the IX 06 Evo? I've seen some pictures lately that have been leading me to question they are.
The 2003 O2 sensor I have has a "Flat" plug if that helps any.
I'm having flex fuel setup made for my vehicle so I need to know this since my rear o2 sensor is from an 03 but my new wiring harness is from an 06. Just trying to save myself the trouble of ripping my arm rest out again.

early 03 is different than late 03. trust me i know. i have a late model (november) 03 and the connector is the same as the 04-06. i didnt know this so i went and purchased an 03 rear sensor and it didnt fit the connector (box shape). i went back and bought an 04 sensor and it worked.
so if your connector is FLAT that means the sensor is the same and it wont work with the 06 harness because the 06 harness is square.
just fyi, the rear is a cat checker anyways, so dont go spending a ton on it since im sure you are gonna be putting a defouler or evoscan hack to it anyways. i got my rear sensor for 40 bucks i believe new. autozone

I haven't had a rear O2 in that car since I motor swapped it and I didn't check to see if there was a difference in the connector for that sensor since I wasn't using it.
