Sub and amp install questions
I bought an evo 8 and I am planning on doing a sub install in my truck where everything is hidden. The trunk was stripped of all carpet when I purchased the car so my plan is to dynamat the trunk and install 1 10" L7 and an amp and capaciter. After the install I want to recarpet the trunk over all of the audio equipment with a way to get to it but remain out of sight. What will I have to do to the amp? Will it overheat if I install it directly behind the carpet? Can I make an enclosure for the amp to keep it from overheating? Any comments or links or pictures would be great.

I do like that a lot. I am not wanting mine to be seen at all, if you open my trunk I want it to look pretty much stock. Where is your amp at? I just want to make sure I can install my amp completely hidden without worry of it overheating and possibly catching fire.

that would be pretty easy to do. u could so the same thing i have here. do a slim sub woofer firing up and just make a trim panel to over it all. wouldnt have to raise the floor much at at. and u would hide everything.
