wrong battery in evo 8!!!
so my car was sitting for like a month and half mainly due to my work. anyways when I finally went to start up my car it was dead so like anyone else I jumped it, then went to realize my alternator was bad so I replaced that and now my battery is no good, took it to autozone to get charged and they told me I had a motorcycle battery!! now im stuck cause a regular battery wont fit bc of my charge pipe and bov. anyone else ever heard of evos using a small motorcycle battery ? it ran fine before with that battery. what are my options ? relocation kit ? or buy another motorcycle one. need help please

Some guys in the DSM world run honda civic batteries. I think it's a 51R size or something like that. Here you go this one. http://www.sears.com/diehard-automot...1&blockType=G1
500 CCA isn't bad.
I used a braille battery for awhile but with a stereo it overworks the alternator so I got tired of it and did a relocation to the trunk and now have a nice big battery.

lol, well I doubt you use autozone parts for your evo though right? Hey a jobs a job but autozone isn't exactly top quality parts.
But as for the OP, it's really up to you, just realize that if you stick with a small battery, you cannot leave it sitting there very long without charging it. The smaller capacity will drain much faster and needs more maintenance. Start the car like twice a week to charge the battery back up if you stick with the small battery, it will also make your battery last longer if you don't do deep discharges and regularly charge it. If you have a trickle charger just stick that on it instead.
Deep discharges KILL batteries, and they won't recharge afterwards.
A solar trickle charger would work well, but the evo doesn't allow the cigarette lighter to be connected with the ignition off. So you have to figure out another way to connect it up to the battery which I have already done and am installing on my car soon.
