Evo 9 headlights HID

My question is are all of the evo 9 headlight housings the same other than the fog lights on the HID models? More specifically do the non HID housings have the aqua colored lens like the HID's? I have a 9 MR and just want to purchase the housings without the HID ballasts bc I have them already. I want to make sure all housings have that aqua lens cover.

All of the HID housings will have the aqua cutoff shield, yes.

If you have Evo ballasts you'll need to purchase HID model headlights to properly mount them

Correct, I believe they're different. The ballasts cover up a hole that is physically visible on the bottom of the headlights. Perhaps the 9's without HID's have a cover that goes here or something, but I'm not sure

I definitely know that without the ballasts attached, there is a hole in the housings and the normal 9's headlights are completely sealed so this hole is not there. Whether the housings are different or they just have a plate that covers it, I don't know

If you want HID's, buy the HID lights. You can get the other ones to work, but why not buy what was intended for the car?

The evo 8 grs hid didn't have the aqua lens cover. I know because I had took apart mine to do a black housing mod. Only ones have the aqua lens cover, I believe is the evo 9's and of course Jdm headlights. I have a spare Jdm headlight parts. If anyone is interested pm me.

Do the 9mr lights have fog lights built into them? I'm after a set with fog lights but I'm in aus. How much do the JDM evo 9 lights go for?

Yes, the MR's have fog lights in them

in the US, JDM lights go for $1100-1400 or so depending on quality and if they're 8 or 9's (black or black chrome housings)
