Competitive Racing

I clearly state "Competitive Racing", where using a catalytic converter would put one at a disadvantage. With that being said, if all competitive racing rules were changed to require a catalytic converter, I believe this would be for the better (though I do not forsee this happening anytime soon).

I believe the test in some states just plug the OBD2 scanner into the diagnostic ports to check for any error codes and don't do any tailpipe emissions testing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I drove my 90 Talon AWD without a cat for 3 years in NJ with no problems, my brother has had his catless for 5 years. I put my cat back on to go to NJ state inspection and WOW the car felt like a dog when I put the cat back on.

If you live in a state where the cops will actually harrass you for it just go with a hi-flow. Otherwise DEFINITELY go catless... provides minimum of 10HP and most likely more with the more mods you have, especially if you get a bigger turbo and run more boost!

i live in NY, I don't haven't had to many probs with police until recently when i was pulled over for having a "modified muffler" LOL when my car was stock! I told the cop off and he let me go. Either way aside from looking under the car is there really a way for a cop to rell ?
