hks 264/264 installed
i just had my hks 264 cams installed this weekend, with hks cam gears still set to 0, and untuned. besides the car pulling a lot harder now, i notice this loud rattling/vibrating noise coming from the bottom of the car. it might be my helix downpipe, but it never made that kind of noise before. could it be the noisy tramission decelerating noise that people were talkin about in the other thread? who else has experienced this?

Its The Tranny
hey hows it goin.....i struggled with that rattling sound for 2 weeks to find the source of it.....it turned out it was the tranny ...
it the guts spinning around ....now your engine doesnt idle as smooth as it used to...that shaking is going into the tranny....
sit in your car with it running----and listen for the noise to identify it
now just push in the clutch and hold it and the noise will stop
also sit in it just running in neutral no clutch ----and turn on the a/c and it gets even worse...
it also is pretty loud when shut off the engine,,,just before the whole thing stops spinning
could just be tranny transfer case noise..
regards rick

Ive had alot of rattle not too long ago right under the center console/shifter and it turned out to be my hi-flow cat banging against the heatshield. Dont know if this problem accures with a testpipe though.

well i dont have this problem anymore. it was the downpipe rubbing against the upper subframe of the car. after i put in my test pipe my mechanic adjusted the downpipe so it doesnt rub. now the car is fine.
