6-speed conversion?

If the six speed tranny is anything like the six speed in the STI, than its GAR BAGE. The gears on the STI are so short. My opinion is that a six speed is to keep the car in its power band. I may be wrong. I have raced a couple of Sti's and when I am holding a gear (ex)3 they are changing to 4.
