This has got to be one of the worst cutouts I have ever seen. The exhaust has to make a 90 deg turn just to exit! Not smooth flowing at all.

The best exhaust cutout, would be a standard 45deg cutout with the ATP or Quicktime electronic cutout on the end of it. You are destined to get much more exhaust out that way.

This is the ATP cutout:

I don't like the bend here either, which is why if you take the actual unit off the pipe, and put it on a real 45deg cutout, it would be much better. You can actually have a boost controller on this, so it would open at whatever boost you set it at... since it's based off of wastegate technology, there is no reason it wont be more reliable than any other mechanical cutout out there.

why doesnt more exhaust follow the straighter path? I know there's backpressure, so how much goes out the diversion, how much continues thru the system? There's got to be some equalization point, or low pressure point. Does this help the diverter work?

Yes you could probably run it right behind your cat, I think it would fit.

I looked at alot of different cutouts/ diverters prior to picking the Noweeds system. But if you read through the technical data on this unit it hands down blows away any of the other systems easily. Yes it has to make a 90 degree turn, but I can sacrifice the less than 1 HP for a much better product.

Noweeds has a 75lb linear screw drive actuator from autoloc with internal limit switches and a tension plate which guarantees positioning as well as a tight seal in closed position throughout the transition of thermal expansion. It was an obvious choice when looking for ease of installation and quality.
