In my experience the BR440 kit did not spool "like stock". It was about 500-600rpm later. My car showed between 30-40whp gain from the BR440 kit compared to the stock turbo. It was a decent comprimise in spool for a few mph gain at the dragstrip, but I dn't belive it was worth the $ for that small of a turbo upgrade.
I don't belive any turbo that will make any significant power gain over the stock evo turbocharger will in reality have "stock spool". turbo sizing is always a give and take comprimise. There is no magic turbo that's going to make big power gains and sacrifice nothing in boost response.
IMHO that "spools like stock" term gets thrown around on this forum far far too much, and half the people belive everything they hear on the net.

I personally ask this because I use my car as a daily driver, so I dont want to sacrifice too much spool up or have to downshift just get this thing going because of lag.
I have seen a few charts out there, 1 with tme 6.5 ti w/10.5 turbine housing, header & O2 housing netting some good gains, but whats the next step up in performance without sacrifycing too much spool up as a daily driver?
I apologize if this has been debated, but there have been newer kits introduced, so I am looking for more feedback / insight.

I personally would wait until there's some more information on the Buschur 20G, FP White Rabbit and the SS55 (I think Majestic Turbo builds this one, but not sure).
These all bolt up to the stock manifold and while opinions differ on which one works best etc. all seem to spool closer to stock than any of the other aftermarket turbos out there.

I really do not trust any BIG HP turbos comming off the stock turbo as they are internally gated and probably won't make as much as a T3 manifold.
Get a GT3071R, it'll be nice.
