No son it's not. Do some research on here you will see others have had many problems as well. I guess some evos just don't like that bov

Why don't you put back your stock diverter valve back and see how it runs. If it runs better then it is the setting on the BOV. If it still the same then it's something else.

This is why I didn't upgrade my BOV, so many problems that people have with them heh. The stocker holds fine for me and I don't plan on upgrading untill I need it. Best of luck fixing the issue tho, I'd say just install the stocker again and see how it runs then try the Type S again...

your engine is now running pig rich after that BOV opens...... That's all. Say goodbye to Cats! This is the problem with open atmosphere BOV's..... the air is already counted, so the engine is expecting that air, and dumps that amount of fuel. You are letting that air out of the engine, but the same amount of fuel is still entering the engine.

i dont have it VTA. it is recul back to the intake!!

Obviously you have something wrong, as i personally use the Greddy Type S on my eclipse and Evo8 with no problems. I have also installed several of these for fellow friends and have seen no negative results from them.

i'd suggest playing with the adjustment screw... i had to adjust nearly every bov/dv i ever installed, a few of them leaked air at idle even, like the pos 2g valve... also, check the springs used...

i'm off work tomorrow. if it takes me all day i'm going to get it right because i almost lost the other night against an eclipse (not putting them down, around here most of them are slow). it took all i had to get him by a full car length!!!!
