There are some myths that are going on in this thread. First the EVO is a great daily driver to have even if you are running 10's.
My personal daily driver makes 542whp and 615ft lbs of torque and I drive it everywhere. I take my son to daycare, get groceries, etc. There is no lag and it is the ultimate street car. The car has every creature comfort possible and is the most fun car to drive everyday. With the AWD platform we don't have to worry about traction in the rain or snow.
To say you can't have a 10 sec EVO daily driver is a mistake. If it is done right and there are no sacrifices made then you can have one of the funnest and fastest cars on the street.

ok i read on the forum a few days ago about a flash that was like 2 stage. like they had a switch to go back and forth between pump gas tune and race gas tune. now is there someone that i can send my ecu out to that can do this if i give them my list of mods. it seems like all the evo tuners live on the east coast, so is it possible to just send my ecu out or will they need my whole car to dyno and tune it.

That is because they are naturally aspirated. Turbocharged engines don't need such large throttle bodies.
I be that there won't be any reason to re-tune because there won't be any difference. Are you going to have 75mm IC pipes and a 75mm intercooler setup as well? How about the intake manifold?
Just keep the intake tract smooth. No sudden jumps or decreases in diameter.
