someone help!! bov problems!

i was getting a lot of flutter with my forge recirculating bov..i took it out today and put the stock one back in..and i'm getting even more flutter!! i dont understand what is wrong..it's the stock bov! my friend had a greddy bov and he got some flutter even tho the day before he installed his mini battery there was no flutter..then he totally took apart his intake and the hose connected to the turbo and put it back on and he said the flutter was gone..could installing my adapter and high flow filter caused me to get flutter? that is so weird..but i dont know what else it could be because now i have the stock bov and it's still doing it..someone help please..i dont want to hurt my car..and the sound is really annoying..the stock bov is holding just fine to redline with my MBC too..so i dont know what my problem is someone please help! i'm posting this is its own post too just thought i'd add it here..

I've heard flutter is compressor surge (bad) and most people hate on the adapter/filter and blame it for all intake problems... I couldnt say one way or another though, I have ssq bov and it makes a fluttering sound all its own, so I even with my intake, I wouldn't know if I were getting compressor surge. (although that fluttering sound got MUCH louder with the new intake filter)

i think the only reason people with the stock bov claim no flutter is cause they cant hear it or cause they have the stock intake box.

i have flutter with my MR valve too (but i can only hear it if im next to a jersey barrier or something else to bounce the sound off with the window down)
so im pretty sure if i went back to the stock bov and got in the right condition while paying attention it too would flutter. or if i left the mr on and went back to the stock box.

thats my two cents.

but even then..we're still getting flutter..so if it IS compressor surge..that is bad obviously and what can we do about it? i mean ya it would be good to put the stock airbox on and not hear the annoying sound..but if it's still happening then sooner or later my turbo will hit the sh*tter...

check all of your vac. lines. Odds are that you have a vac. leak that is causing the fluttering noise.

if i can't visually see any leaks..how else can i test without getting professionally pressure tested..? should I check all vaccum lines under the hood? including the ones for my boost gauge and MBC and any? or just ones that are directly connected to my bov or intake..?

You installed your BOV backwards. That's what's causing the fluttering. Flip it around.

lol what bov is that? i'm pretty sure i reinstalled the stock one back to the way I took it out..but I guess I can flip it again...I know that I had installed my forge backwards then fixed it and still got a little flutter..but i think the stock on is installed right i'll try switching it..but I dont think thats the problem..we'll see i guess :-P

It's the JDM MR BOV.

Read this thread. This guy had his BOV installed backwards and had the same fluttering issues as you.

i had the blue spring (stiff) and went to the stock which is less stiff just like the yellow spring...and it got worse..so i dont think that is my solution
