Props for getting us some good data myevostore.com! Did you happen take before/after ic pressure measurements? I'm curious about the pressure drop numbers for both those intercoolers since one obviously cools better than the other.

Who sells the Nisei core? Is it not for sale yet? I havent seen it anywhere!

Also, I would like to see this intercooler against Buschur's (I know someone else said that!) Thatd be great. Im really stuck on what IC to choose! I love the hard numbers though, thanks for doing the tests!!!

Looking at the attachment points on the Nisei, I'd say the stock (unmodified) undertray is out, along with some SCCA classes allowing stock fitting intercooler replacements with no mods (I just won't cut it period, regardless)... I forget which class, but Buschur eventually made one to fit as per many customer's requests. Otherwise, I'd really, really want one.

myevostore sells the nisei ics... please read the whole thread

in any case i think you guys should post this up in the page where you guys are selling the nisei core... this will force people to get their own comparable data nad we'll have REAL world numbers talkin' instead of ic myths.

very proud of the socal community for doing the upstanding thing, testing and what not.

ar eyou guys basically forcing the owners of these ics to use tmpe sensors? becuase... how are you plugging those holes? why not just put the sensors in the silicone couplers?

trinydex,

the temperature probe was placed there only for testing purposes. in other words, it's temporary. the actual unit, when sold, will not have a hole for a probe in the end tank.

how do you remove a hole? i asked if you guys were pluggin' it... but i guess that was a ridiculous question...

i suggested puttin' the probe in the silicon coups because why drill lots of holes in intercoolers when you can drill one set of holes in the coups and do all the testing wtihout drilling.

are the holes already in the end tanks? because they said they drilled them... just wondering :\

They only drilled holes in the intercoolers they're going to test. The intercoolers that they sell are not going to have holes in them.

Funny, he does bring up a good point. Maybe they should use the same silicone hose with the temp sensor in the same location on every unit tested, otherwise sensor location could sway results slightly.
