Your car will sound like an airplain, louder then your exhaust and everything else on the road.

No, it's probably not a good idea to drive w/ a broken transfer case. Depending on what broke, there's a possibility it could lock up on you. I don't think you'd want your wheels locking up on you while you're on the freeway.

Denile is not a river in Egypt! If you are experiancince an ABNORMAL loud whine that gets progresively louder as you accelerate in SPEED, and when you disengae the drive train it quiets down or goes silent, your tc is SHOT. I drove on my broken one till I got rid of the pig. Was solid just loud. No ones going to bu it off you if its gone though. And chance are since mitsu north replaces them with the same surplus of defected tc, specifically a gear that wasnt shimmed properly from the factory, its bound to happen again. If you seriously plan on keeping the car, replace it with a buil unit from a shop. Look around and you'll find one. peace

Exactly what happened to me in my 1990 Talon AWD. I waso n the higway luckily late at night around 3am in the rain and my car was jerking on and off for about 15m then as I came around a bend, BANG all 4 wheels locked and i slid right off the road, luckily, I was only going like 55 because of the rain and I slid right into the grass and waited for the tow truck! But it could have been 100x worse. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR IF YOU KNOW OR THINK ITS GOING TO GO!
