With $5k total to spend (reread the initial post), you wouldn't buy an AMS or TT kit unless you just liked the way it looked sitting in your living room, and one can't even begin to talk about things such as 30psi.

BTW, your hp/tq numbers are virtually identical to mine.

You miss understodd. I was giving my opinion on the two best out there. If he wanted no more add on's just a bigger turbo minus the AEM, cams, He could run a kit with a flash for 5 G's but you still need bigger injectors and larger FMIC.

He'd be better off with cams in lieu of a larger IC, as well as an Xede + tuning vs. a flash. He wouldn't need an EMS regardless.

The two best out there are of little use if one cannot afford to buy them, install them, as well as buy and install all the supporting hardware to justify it. The turbo kit is only a portion of what one needs to do it, and more importantly, to do it right.

In other words, it's better to take aim at a target not quite so high and hit a bullseye then take aim at something over your head and out of your budget and do it half-a$$ed.

The TT kit is a smaller trim than the AMS kit, spools faster and puts out real similar #'s. The AMS kit is going to really shine @ 30psi and up. To do that though you need to upgrade internals as high 20's psi maybe 30 at the max is all you can do on stock internals before stuff goes BOOM. AEM, cams, bigger FMIC, injectors,Walboro 255, then turbo kit. Make sure you do those injectors if you go bigger turbo, you do not want to run at 100% duty cycle, one little hiccup and bad things can happen. Just my .02

Vishnu made 470 on there dyno on stock internals, that would be upper 500 hp on a dynojet probably. We also made 505 on pump gas w/ water injection on the car stock internals w/ our GT35R kit. I think the kit shines on all levels. We just put one on a kid's car who is only 16 and has no track experience and the car went 12.1 @ 121 MPH. Obviously he is not driving the car hard that was on 18 PSI pump gas. That MPH is good for mid 11's and has room to grow. That is the great thing about this kit. You can stick it on a stock internals car and run around like that and then build the motor and make even more power.

Just remember, there is always more than one way to skin a cat. The most expensive way is not always the best way for you, and neither may be the cheapest way. The less you plan to spend to reach a certain goal, the more critical your choices become.

Choose wisely.

Another side note, our car made a little over 400 whp on 1 Bar w/ our GT35R kit. It is not the most expensive way out there but IMHO it is one of the best designs out there. HKS and Apexi are both higher priced than us.
